Scripted drop penalty

tonite when dropping, I got a penalty for who knows what reason. not a normal penalty mind you – but something totally new, a Cool Off time peroid flag. yes that’s what it looks like above. it’s the response you see on a widget after you drop on it, and the penalty is imposed.
I don’t want to think that they Invented This Penalty For ME, but it’s not in the Entrecard Book – Anywhere, and It’s Not Google-able

It’s Amazing what happens when You Guys Comment and Pay Attention to a Situation on Entrecard. We’ve found out that the biggest way to get their attention; is TO GET YOUR ATTENTION.

For Those of You who enjoy EntrePOD – this is the latest episode, Mystery Penalties and if you ask nicely I’ll email you a special link to the soundtrack – sans the vocals. post your request to get a link in the comments.
Suddenly the widgets stopped changing, and Wham; it appeared when I reached approximately 140 drops. amazingly it only happened on one of three accounts. that is also part of the mystery. I’m waiting for them to write me back and explain this new penalty and clarify what reason they think I need a time out; not to mention a fine of 585 credits.
maybe my dropping 900 cards a day is finally getting their attention. or maybe I’ve reached that threshold that they set for members who consistently drop high numbers daily. eitherway it came with no explanation. no clarifying email has followed yet, and it even allowed me to drop an additional 300 cards on another account after the penalty was given.
I’ve checked the entrebook for any info on the penalty and there’s none.
I think this is a NEW Penalty, and if you’re not careful they may impose it on you.
actually I think it’s because I asked a question the other day about a missing ad credit reimbursement which was rejected. the ad never played because the site was removed from entrecard. I wrote them asking them to reimburse me for the non display of the ad – they told me to write to the owner of the site; who by this time was no longer a member of entrecard.

No, we do not issue refunds when the site you advertise on is down. This is because it’s beyond our control.

This is just another way to drain off credits; discourage users and create controversy. so “Typically” entrecard. makes you wonder if they’re going to ever get past the pimples and antisocial behaviour. I know teenagers who communicate better than they do.
I suspect that they have yet to communicate with me because they need to create some documentation to refer me to; in regards to the new penalty – and why I received no warning just a hard penalty.

No, I have never heard of that penalty. I just got a very fast response to a question I had about why the drop count total was not resetting to zero after midnight for me. I asked them if they had changed the official time for this, and they responded within a few hours and told me that they had not. I think the problem I am having has to do with no longer being able to use the Entrecard toolbar because of switching over to Firefox 3.6, but I am not sure.
Wow!!! How do yo find the time to drop 900 cards? I can barely do 50, LOL…

Is drinking limeade like drinking the Kool-Aid? I like cherry limades myself, but it's too hard to get to Sonic from here. Never tried it with ginger though.
I do everything while watching TV. Why do you think I freaked out so over the cable box drama? You can mess with a lot of things in my house. Just don't mess with my TV reception.
Maybe I should do it watching Wendy. I think she comes on rerun at night. Might try it and see, but what if most of my comments end up saying, "How you doing?"
Thanks for giving us the heads up on this. I don't drop nearly as much as you, mostly because I fall behind all the time in dropping and only have one blog. However, when I do drop and I'm catching up, I can easily get to 140, which seems to be when they hit you. So I guess now I can't even catch up in one day anymore.
It would have been nice if they were going to implement a new rule like this and take away nearly 600 in EC credits to tell everyone first. Of course, we all know how well they communicate.

on my main site BadGalsRadio.com I get between 1.25 million and 1.75 million visitors on a normal month. if I run a Serena Williams or Kanye West freaks out piece, that could double. I have learned how to force google to find their files – by backlinking and using google to find the graphics so that it recognizes them and renegotiates with itself when sending me traffic. yes traffic girly.

Only on the days I play catch up. I just haven't been able to get back in the swing of things EC wise since my mom died. I dropped all the time before she died. Since I got back, not so much. I don't think most of my traffic comes from EC anymore since I get about 100 or 125 visitors a day bur only about 20 drops or so from Ec, and those are the regulars dropping.
I read the blogs as I drop and try to comment so I've never gotten remotely close to 300, even when I was dropping every day. I was going to catch up tonight, but it looks like now it will be tomorrow. I keep saying I'm not going to let myself get behind with it after I catch up, and every single time I do.

I only get sometimes the "INVALID" message which means also that something went to fast while dropping but only a few times a day… nothing to talk about as this even happens when i drop less than 300 cards.
ahhhh only when you are dropping too fast.what is too fast ?does it mean that the users machines are faster thanthe entrecard servers ? Whoooo HA !!!that's a good one, forreal.
