Did you know that over 50% of Haiti’s

population is younger than 16 years old..

951e9e9743bd15e67435c8b21ecacf5f Expell the Adults and Import the Kids America are you Bi Polar ?What will happen to these new orphans, when added to the astronomical 350,000. already listed as orphans in Haiti ?  this is a question that is very close to my heart as a mother, an adoptee; and an orphan now that my parents have both passed away.

you cannot remove the children from Haiti without a search for some of their family, before declaring them orphans. it just makes me wonder about the safety of the children; and the reunification possibilities.  watch this video and then think of what a terribly perplexing situation this is for everyone involved.

Who is Speaking FOR The Children of Haiti ?


I can’t help but to collect their faces in my memories; as they pass in a nightmarish parade, on the news in each days’ casualty count from our newest war front – Haiti.  what will happen to those who have no one to care for them ? the littlest most vulnerable victims of the horrible calamity ?  I am so filled with questions and worry that I could only hope for some relief.

one of my most serious quandrys comes from the american legislators who  even in light of the present problems; want to dispatch haitians back to haiti, in the midst of a crisis. while they in turn want to import their babies into open arms.

That is Just Too Contrary to Make Anytype of Sense. Deport the adults, and import the kids?

Tonite I got a letter from The Women’s Refuge Commission. They are a Woman’s and Children’s Charity that I support who have taken this task to hand.  please take a moment and read the note. then if you have any compassion and maybe a few dollars left – click the link and help us protect Haitis’  Orphans; Women and Children by giving Them A Voice.

Dear RE,
As you have probably seen in the news, the chaotic and devastating aftermath of Haiti’s earthquake has left thousands of children separated from their families. United Nations and relief agencies on the ground are working to establish registration and reunification processes for separated and unaccompanied children.
While many people are eager to help by adopting Haitian children, we believe it is critical that a full assessment of a child’s situation be done before making any placement decision. The fact is, in the current chaos, thousands of people, including parents and children, are still searching for their families.  Read what the Women’s Refugee Commission is recommending.

Removing children from countries too quickly after an emergency has been shown to jeopardize family reunification efforts, create additional instability for children and increase the risk that children will fall into the hands of traffickers and other ill-intentioned individuals who have been known to exploit these situations. Read our press release.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued guidelines for humanitarian parole  for orphans who have been screened, identified for adoption eligibility and were matched with American families before the earthquake. We support the agency’s prompt response and efforts to protect children but are concerned that there have being removed from Haiti who do not have pre-earthquake adoptions in place and who may have families in Haiti looking for them.

Our efforts at this time must be focused on protecting children in Haiti.
