WE Know Who ZIP RUNNER IS .. Do You
Entrecard is now under the control of a company called Zip Runner inc. we toodled around on the net until we were finaly able to locate some info on this company no body knows anything about – Zip Runner inc; from of all places “The Turnip Of Power”..
So either Graham sold EC to the original investor, or he simply lost control of the company because he couldn’t sell EC for enough to repay the 112k..

Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead

It was with mixed emotions that I woke up today to learn that Entrecard was sold. Sometimes a leader is SO bad you begin to enjoy their nonsense. Graham Langdon was Kim Jung Il with an asshat, running his online version of North Korea into the ground. The following is the main announcement from the Entrecard blog.
“It is with great excitement that I announce Entrecard.com, Inc. has
been Acquired by ZipRunner Inc.
ZipRunner has the resources, vision, and dedication to Entrecard that
will allow it to grow in pursuit of the vision I laid out nearly two
years ago.
Moving forward, my relationship to Entrecard will be that of an
advisor, and I will help the good folks at ZipRunner take the whole
project to the next level.”
Great, so the grand leader is “staying on as an advisor”. If I could have given Ziprunner one bit of advice, it would have been to lose the cancer known as Graham. Other than alienating people left and right, what expertise does Graham possibly bring to the table? “Dude, if you ever find yourself late at night in a drunken threesome with enraged sealions, take my advice, drop the acai bowl, but hold onto the cell phone! Believe me, I’ve been there”. If you want , NAY, crave additional Graham mockery, then head on over to yet another soon to fail blog started by Graham: http://ontrapranore.com/.
Now, what does this mean for the bloggers who still use Entrecard? Well, Ziprunner certainly didn’t buy it to cavort around techcrunch parties as “Mr. Web Asshat 2.0″ bogarting every joint he can get his hands on. They bought it to turn a profit. Bottom line is they bought a list of bloggers. Names, emails, home addresses, social security numbers, and all.
Who is Ziprunner?

2168 S ATLANTIC BLVD #232 Belongs to Powweb. Hmm, now the great turnip wheels begin to spin. Remember Entrecard’s original investor, Andrew Te? Entrecard has already received a $112,000 investment from them.
So either Graham sold EC to the original investor, or he simply lost control of the company because he couldn’t sell EC for enough to repay the 112k.
I guess the way Graham said it sounds so much better than “I f cked up and the investor took Entrecard because I didn’t meet my obligations”. Some sort of deal probably was struck as part of the original venture capital agreement, hence the “staying on as advisor” nonsense. Buy-out or not.

Like what I've said on my blog post about this, reactions about this acquisition can either be positive or negative. I'm looking forward to a better Entrecard, that's for sure.
I Think WE ALL ARE.
lets just see what happens – as we've seen
nothing yet from the new owners.
also no email from the new owners
means we are all sitting in hold mode.
that's not usually a good sign.
Thanks for your comment
umm, so after all this time, Graham is finally a blog?????? LOL!
Oh well, like Entrecard, he'll kill that too. Can't believe that punk is an advisor for them. Maybe Ziprunner ain't so bright after all.
But what does Ziprunner do?? Just another company that buys, sells and rolls in money from other companies??
I'm just going to watch and see what happens.
Chilly
they appear to be venture capitalists.
that means we'll soon see either another sale or a close down.
they aren't tech related what so ever.
this is Grahams' pawn ticket being cashed in since
he didn't retrieve it in time.
Booyah – All Our Info and Points, now belong to another company.
that's what concerns me most. who are they associated with and
what will they do with the accumulated data ?
guess we'll just have to wait for them to say something,
which as of yet they haven't; which is not a good thing business wise.
Thanks for your comment Chill
I wonder what ZipRunner has in store for us. Probably to make a few swift changes to make Entrecard of interest to a potential buyer then to sell it on.
John, did you get any mail from them yet ?
apparently they must be busy assessing
the situation – before saying anything to us.
lets hope that whatever happens it's good for us.
Thanks for your comment
I'm impressed that you found something about ZipRunner, everywhere I've looked everyone is just scratching their heads. I agree with the comment about no email from the new owner yet, not even a "hey don't worry" reassurance kind of email. I'm remaining optimistic because EC has worked well for me despite it's problems, and I don't actually think that too many changes need to be made to improve it greatly.
Well, the 'times they are a changin'. " I agree with Tina in that you certainly did your homework on the new owners. It would be the correct thing to do in notifying EC'RS about any pending changes. Let's hope they consider some of your very wise input. I feel certain that there are better ways to make this program work and you have had some brilliant ideas. Now, let's see if they are put to there good use they should be.
Cher, I think the problem will be that whomever takes over will be
innundated with the clean up first. then they have to come up with a
way to really cash in.
I've thought about it, and believe me there are ways to make money
with entrecard; but they are going to require some work, and cooperation
from the present members. first off the new owners need to take a pulse
and figure out where they are on the scale with the present ec membership.
I think that after they see how damaged grahams repore is with the members
we won't be seeing him in the mix much longer.probably phirate will be part of
the whole change up, but who knows at this point.
remember this is a Venture Capitatlist – not an internet company.
that tells me alot. as i'm sure you can see yourself Cher.
thanks for your comments
I don't know of anyone who is better informed on this than you, RE. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. I think they should put you on the board. Here, here!
Cheers to you, dear RE.
Cher we want to get as much info as possible, on any changes with Entrecard management; as it’s a serious concern for all of us Ecarders
so did you read Andrew Te’s Welcome Blog posted this weekend ? I read it and posted a welcome comment.
looking forward to seeing what he does, first.
Is this not maybe a bit harsh, RE…he he he. The guy is gone. Then again, yu always knew more about the behind the scenes stuff than any of us ever did!
Denford I tend to pay attention to little things, which is why I watch for changes.
I doubt I know more than anybody else, but I'm glad I read turnip of power
to keep up with that entrecard drama. HeHe He..
thanks for your comment Denford
Thanks for shedding some light on who Ziprunner, Inc. is and what we can possibly expect from their presence here at Entrecard. It's definitely a wait and see situation we're facing. Mx
you can say that again Melana
thanks for your comment girlfriend
I think in some small way we were all expecting this end. He didn't know how to lead people. I had my own experience with one of their screw ups. Thanks for the Sherlock Holmes move. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how they're going to shuffle things around.
Hell, Aussie –
I thought it was Bill Griffin and his pinhead buddy who bought the place. Damn. Now I'm worried. The last Zipperrunner I knew was my Scoutmaster and he nearly licked my insignificant penis clean off.
I've still got about 2 dozen open tickets at EC and the only response I've gotten since April was a cute little e-mail saying (right before Graham skittered into his hidey-hole) that they couldn't refund 128 credits I paid for an ad that wasn't running because the one that was running was "probably" a paid ad. Why is it that trickle down prosperity always remind me of growing up in the projects?
Nuke the Internet and flip the planet's magnetic poles. Turn em upside down and they all look the same.
Your buddy,
Osama bin Laffen
Hillarious as always Doc.
Andrew Te apparently is censoring some comments
and answering some tickets as i've seen on certain blogs.
none of my tickets were answered; and i doubt they will be.
remember nobody said they were hiring staff or taking care
of Old Business. I doubt that will happen, Really Doh !
Here is my comment on this recent takeover of Entrecard and some insights as well.. http://www.newzaroundus.com/2009/07/entrecard-acq...
sweetie, there are better ways to plaguerize.
and just so you know, we all know who wrote
the original post. don’t trick -
Whoa! Plagiarism on top of everything else that's going on in blogoland. No original thoughts there, eh? YOU are the one who said it ALL and got the EC train moving. Let's not have any doubt about that. See what I mean? It's Bitch time.
Cher it makes me wonder if they hate me because I have an original thought ?
thanks for your Very Thughtful Comments
BTW, love the new looks on your bogs. Let's hope no one plagiarizes that too. Seriously, RE, they look so appealing and professional and they are easy to navigate. Kudos to all involved!
Awww Cher you are so kind always.
you know that it makes me so mad when I have to keep
building my sites over that I'm going to start making them
a lil simpler; to take less time to resurrect.
that's why I'm using so many widgets. portability and
fast restoration.
somehow I wish they'd get tired of doing this.
Thanks for your Comment Cher and Rich
